This is a scam, but the Yoon administration is being accused by their critics of not responding forcefully enough to a terrorist attack:
Concerns about possible terrorist acts using chemicals continued over the weekend amid an investigation into suspicious international packages delivered to hundreds of seemingly unrelated Korean addresses.
In a message to the public, police warned against opening the parcels labeled with “CHUNGHWA POST,” as they could contain toxic materials. So far, more than 640 such packages sent via Taiwan were confirmed to have been delivered to addresses across the nation including Jeju Island since Thursday. Police said all of them are now under scrutiny.
An X-ray scan raised an alarm early Sunday over a potentially harmful gas inside a package delivered to a home in Cheonan, North Chungcheong Province. But after an additional inspection, police later said they found no such gas.
The mysterious parcels have stoked fear and confusion since last Thursday when three staffers at a care center for the disabled in Ulsan said they experienced dizziness and difficulty breathing after opening one. The Agency for Defense Development, a government agency for research and development in defense technology, later concluded that there was nothing unusual in the box.
The packages were sent to Korea via Taiwan with consumer products such as mascara in them:
Some security experts have raised the possibility that scammers may be behind the mystery, such as a “brushing scam” which refers to online retailers sending unsolicited goods to random people as a means of generating positive reviews or boosting their online presence.
These race baiters keep hitting new lows and hopefully Korea does not give into this madness. Why does a Korean voice actor need to be black? Shouldn’t the person who can best speak and sing the songs in Korean & English be the most important factor for selecting a voice actor not skin color?:
The casting of NewJeans‘ Danielle in the South Korean dub of The Little Mermaid has been met with mixed responses ever since the news broke out. The decision was initially criticized due to her reportedly inaccurate Korean pronunciation as well as lack of experience in voice acting.
When the “Part Of Your World” music video dropped, the tables turned, and more praised Danielle for her singing skills and angelic visuals. Despite this, it seems like Western critics are in doubt about the casting now.
Although most non-Korean audiences will probably never watch the Korean dub of the movie, Danielle’s casting is being called out as a “show of colorism.” Journalist Isabel Cara from CulturaColectiva claims that even though fans are celebrating Danielle’s participation in the movie, “there are those who say it is colorism.”
While the increasing imports of sex dolls serve to comfort lonely men in Korea, they’re also frightening some men, particularly garbage collectors.
According to the Kookmin Ilbo, a Korean-language daily newspaper, a garbage collector recalled his frightening encounter with a sex doll at work.
“I saw a bit of hair in the trash pile and pulled at it assuming it to be a wig,” the newspaper quoted him as saying in an online post. “What I got was a beheaded woman. Can you imagine how much that frightened me at first (assuming it was a real dead body)?”
He went on to say that instead of throwing away the doll as a whole, “the owner dismembered the doll and wrapped the parts separately. The head wasn’t wrapped tight enough. When I saw the decapitated head, my heart stopped. My hands are still shivering. Those wishing to buy sex dolls, please think also about how to properly dispose of them.”
It’s not the first such incident, according to the newspaper.
This is just totally bizarre and incredibly involves an O6 being involved in taking these pictures. The Soldiers involved in these pictures appear to all be stationed in Hawaii:
Multiple soldiers are under investigation for indiscreet activity while in uniform. Specifically, posting photos of themselves wearing dog-themed bondage masks while in uniform.
As reported by USA Today, the images — many of which first appeared on social media on Dec. 9 — depict “male soldiers in uniform, or parts of uniforms, wearing dog masks, leather and chains. Some of the photos depict poses of submission and sexual acts. Another photo shows a soldier in combat fatigues wearing the dog mask on an airfield.”
You can read more at the link, but if you want to see an O6 with a bondage mask on click the link. You can also read more about this craziness in the original article breaking this story in USA Today.
Here is an embarrassing gaffe by the U.S. Vice President:
A gaffe by US Vice-President Kamala Harris momentarily turned US policy on its head on Thursday when she declared the “important” alliance with communist North Korea – instead of South Korea, where she was speaking.
“So, the United States shares a very important relationship, which is an alliance with the Republic of North Korea. And it is an alliance that is strong and enduring,” Ms Harris said on Thursday at the start of her speech in the Demilitarised Zone, or DMZ, where she visited at the end of a tour to Japan and South Korea.
Seoul Metropolitan Office of Education said Tuesday it will open an investigation into the shocking discovery of a dead tree frog in a lunch dish provided to students at a high school in the capital the previous day.
The incident occurred at the unnamed high school in western Seoul, where students were appalled to find a tree frog carcass in radish kimchi, a popular Korean fermented side dish, served with their lunch Monday.
The school sent a letter of apology to all students and their parents, saying the contaminated kimchi was discovered after being delivered by a supplier to the school as a finished product. The school said it discarded all the radish kimchi products stored in the school cafeteria and terminated its contract with the food supplier.
Sorry, but I have little sympathy for someone who was clearly wearing these pants to be provocative and get attention:
A popular South Korean DJ claimed she was kicked off an American Airlines flight and “harassed” into taking off her sweatpants in public because they were deemed “inappropriate” and “offensive.”
DJ Soda, whose real name is Hwang So-hee, took to Instagram and Twitter to detail how she was “harassed and humiliated” on Monday after boarding an American Airlines flight from New York to Los Angeles.
“I was forced out of the plane and was harassed to take off my pants in front of the flight crews at the gate,” the 36-year-old wrote. Hwang added that she “never had an issue” wearing the pants on her current North American music tour.
During the incident, Hwang had been wearing black sweatpants with the words “FUCK,” “FUCK YOU,” and “FUCKIN,'” printed all over, which she said were sponsored by the clothing brand Ripndip.
