As usual, the Setnaffarians blow the whole thing out of proportion.
Pork forms a big part of the Asian diet, which means pork products will be found in processed food produced by Japanese food companies.
Muslims account for 0.3% of the Japan’s population.
The Japanese food companies obviously won’t be producing halal products for 0.3% of the population.
As for Japanese food companies that do produce halal products for export, they obviously won’t be distributing those into the Japanese market because it will create unnecessary headaches and cost in terms of inventory and distribution.
The Setnaffarians would like to think that this is a Japanese effort to chase away Muslims when it fact it is a simple matter of economics.
