Report Claims North Korea Preparing to Deploy 30,000 More Troops to Assist Russia’s War Effort Against Ukraine

This is going to put further strain on Ukraine to sustain their own manpower requirements in this war:

Russia is preparing to bring in an additional 30,000 North Korean troops to its war against Ukraine, with Pyongyang also planning to send more missile launchers to Moscow to support the war effort, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said.

Zelenskyy made the remarks in an X posting summarizing his nightly video address, saying that Moscow has been preparing since last month to deploy the troops to a border region in the southwest.

“Russia wants to receive another 30,000 troops from North Korea. Since June, preparations have been under way in Russia’s Voronezh region to receive them,” Zelenskyy said in the posting.

If we remember out history, North Koreans have never fought in Ukraine.

They fought in Russia against invading Ukrainians, which is a pretty defensible concept.

Let’s look at the options:

– this is speculation, hype, a test of public opinion and reaction, etc. Depending on how loud the returning while, the next course of action can be decided

– free up 30,000 Russians to swoop into the front line… surprise, motherfùcker!

– nobody cares about appearances anymore and North Korean will just go into Ukraine directly because they don’t fear strongly worded letters or double secret probation

– Russia is going to declare the entire area as Russia and the North Koreans are once again fighting on Russian soil to expel foreign invaders.

Russia has proceeded slowly in taking oppressed culturally Russian land back from Ukraine for many reasons, such as maintaining a moral highground by avoiding total war, reducing destruction of areas Russia will need to rebuild, keeping casualties per time acceptable to the public, etc.

But Russia’s patience seems to be fading.

And the western-supported attacks deep into Russia on important infrastructure looks to further climb the escalation ladder.
