South Korea Eliminated from the 2026 World Cup After Completion of Group Stage Play

South Korea has to consider this World Cup a total failure. If their goalie could have not dropped a ball that led to the Mexico winning goal in their second game, they probably would have moved on out of the group stage of the World Cup. Now they will be returning to Korea with a lot of questions about what went wrong at this World Cup:

Korea have been eliminated from the 2026 FIFA World Cup, unable to sneak into the knockout stage on the heels of group stage woes.

With the tournament having expanded from 32 to 48 nations, the eight best third-place teams get to play in the knockout stage, along with the top two countries from each of 12 groups.

After finishing third in Group A with three points on a win and two losses, Korea failed to crack the top eight among the dozen third-place teams Saturday.

Interesting to note that cited a Korea Times article in this blog post.

Just last week, I pointed out that The Korea Times is generally regarded as a centrist newspaper, and that —despite his frequent criticism of the left-wing press—regularly relies on Korea Times articles himself.

Of course, Joshua Lee’s response wasn’t to address that observation, but to suggest I see a shrink for pointing out the obvious.

It’s a telling response: when right wingers can’t refute the point being made, they resort to personal insults instead of engaging with the substance of the argument.

Interesting that the Korea Things — unable to actually compete in ANY sport, profession, or even trade — constantly accuse everyone else of what they do…

But it’s all still lame and cringey.

This is probably a fake article. I have it on good authority that Korea times is a center right publication and doesn’t do soccer pieces as that’s more of a leftist topic.

As always the cowardly Setnaffarians are afraid to admit their mistakes.

Which means they are not manly and certainly gay.
