North Korea Fires Barrage of Missiles in the East Sea in Believed Warning to the Trump to Not Try a Venezuela Operation on Kim Jong-un

It is pretty clear that the North Korean regime was sending a message to the Trump administration with these missile launches to not try to launch an operation against Kim Jong-un like what was done to Maduro. Honestly as long as Kim Jong-un doesn’t threaten America Trump will leave him alone:

North Korea’s Missile Administration conducts a test launch of a new missile on Oct. 22, 2025, in this combined file photo released by the North’s official Korean Central News Agency the next day.

The launch of missiles came as President Lee Jae Myung was set to depart for Beijing for summit talks with Chinese President Xi Jinping. It also came after U.S. President Donald Trump announced that Washington has captured Venezuelan leader Nicolas Maduro in a large-scale military strike.

The Joint Chiefs of Staff (JCS) said it detected the missiles launched from near Pyongyang at around 7:50 a.m.

The missiles flew some 900 kilometers, the JCS said, adding the South Korean and U.S. authorities were analyzing the exact details of the launch.

The missiles reportedly landed at sea, according to a JCS official.

A decapitation and removal strike would be better used on Seoul than Pyongyang. Lucky for Lee, he’s busy reporting to his boss in Beijing.

Unpopular Opinion:

Lee is not living up to his leftist/globalist/collectivist expectations.

I had a very negitive opinion of him going in because he has talked a lot of leftist/globalist/collectivist smack.

But I have not seen that in his actions, which is what matters.

Nuclear Power: Unlike anti-Korean Moon who followed globalist instructions to keep Korea energy dependent, Lee has continued reactor construction that Yoon restarted and even suggested at life extensions for existing reactors. While he has spoken out against new reactors, this is meaningless, as that timeframe is well beyond his presidency. His actions are helping Korea, not globalists.

North Korea: He is just playing his part in the cyclic game of appeasement and hard line. Neither do much. NK gonna NK no matter what.

China: He is saying all the things he needs to say so the Chinese will export tourists and import products. Korea is so powerless in the Taiwan issue that he should say whatever is best for Korea and its economy. Letting the Chinese get their tendrils into South Korea is a different issue, but I don’t see that.

Small Business: Despite his anti-small business talk in the past, his policies have not been anti-small business. His policies hold a 70% approval in the SME community.

My observation is that he said a lot of things that the anti-Korean lefties wanted to hear before the election but his actions have been pro-Korean.

These are my casual observations so I am quite eager to hear any conflicting opinions.
