I am sure it’s very nice; but it’s got to be an expensive way to enjoy a Korean ambiance. Still, it’s evidence even the Japanese know a good thing when they see it.
I prefer Insadong, Myungdong, Noryangjin Market, Suwon Songtan, and Daecheon over anything in Japan. But next time we go back to Korea, we’ll visit the East Sea towns and maybe sone mountains, too.

The best place to take foreign visitors in Korea is the temple at Maisan.
It is very not western and people are always satisfied.
It is actually better than the picture and has many small temples and passageways you cannot see here.

I can concur with what Chickenhead said, Maisan I highly recommend. Very cool mountain and unique temple to checkout.
My Korean wife is never interested in Koreatowns or anything Korean that is outside of the ROK.
