Korean American Federation Criticizes ICE Raids in Los Angeles

What this article is not telling readers is that many of the Korean-American owned businesses in LA’s Koreatown use illegal immigrant labor, especially from Latin-American countries. This is the primary reason the Korean American Federation is speaking out against the ICE raids:

A man stands outside a business where federal immigration authorities conducted an operation on Friday in Los Angeles. (AP-Yonhap)

US federal immigration authorities conducted a series of coordinated enforcement operations across Los Angeles on Friday, including in neighborhoods with a high concentration of Korean American-owned businesses. The move has raised concerns within the local Korean diaspora.

The raids reportedly targeted areas in downtown Los Angeles’ fashion district, commonly referred to as the “Jobber Market,” where several Korean American-run wholesale clothing stores are located.

In a statement released the same day, the Korean American Federation of Los Angeles condemned the enforcement actions, describing them as “unilateral and heavy-handed.”

“These actions by ICE (Immigration and Customs Enforcement) disregard proper legal procedures,” the organization said. “We urgently call on our local elected officials to take action and provide solutions to this crisis. In addition, we will work closely with local organizations to ensure that no individuals are unjustly harmed.”

“Even individuals who struggle with English or are unable to provide identification immediately are reportedly being arrested or detained first,” the organization added. “This has caused significant harm and confusion, not only among Korean nationals but also among local residents.”

That is like the US Union leader coming out and supporting the criminal illegal job stealers. Suppose to represent American workers.

A pretty significant portion of Koreans in the country are here illegally (visa overstays). We had a business in Atlanta and when the first illegal immigration crackdown happened during Trump’s first term, our business tanked. My wife, being Korean, knew a lot of people in the Atlanta Koreatown, and according to her, a lot of them were here illegally, a lot of whom came from Korea to avoid debts, lawsuits, etc.

Maybe noisy Koreans need a little more attention to the community immigration status.

“unilateral and heavy-handed”

America has no obligation to negotiate with criminals… not manufactured “criminals” engaged in victimless crime… but real criminals intentionally breaking valid laws that truly protect America and Americans from various harms.

These criminals are not cooperative and choose to continue breaking the law and harming America and Americans. There is no hand heavy enough.

Protecting America from criminal invaders is unilateral and heavy-handed by nature.

And it should be more-so.

National Guardsman tries to shoot Aussie woman in the back.

Having (incompetently) learned how to shoot (during his AF service) means he only hits the back of her calf

Bad.

When asked why he did it, the Guardsman retrofitted an answer to explain his poor marksmanship and the targeting of an Aussie woman:

Ah wanted that sheila to hop it like a kangaroo.

“National Guardsman tries to shoot Aussie woman in the back.”

No he didn’t. Policy is buttocks or legs.

That keeps the less-than-lethal less than lethal.

News is reporting she was shot in the leg.

Better news is reporting she was “caught in the crossfire”.

Best news is reporting she was no longer on camera and was lollygagging in the area where insurrectionists, rioters, foreign militants, and their treasonous supporter and enablers were being cleared with rubber bullets.

They really need to go full Kwangju on these threats to America.

CH, you are behind the LA Times here.

LAPD officer. Video clearly shows the Aussie woman was doing a piece to camera and was about 30 yards and a 45 degree angle from the end of the LAPD firing line.

The last officer in that firing line clearly raises his rifle, shot is heard, Aussie woman hops, simultaneously gunsmoke is seen coming from the barrel of that LAPD officer’s rifle. No other LAPD have their rifles raised.

Xenophobic misogyny aimed at a blonde woman with her back turned.

Gratuitous and sneaky money shot.

Doubt there were any incels in Gwangju in 1980 but there is indubitably one incel in the LAPD.

Sad.

Hey, LAPD officer. Leave that Aussie woman alone.

Las Angeles is experiencing an invasion and violent uprising against the United States government by foreign forces and their collaborators.

Their violence should be met with extreme violence.

Proportional response prolongs the disorder and damage to American citizens engaged in lawful behavior.

The national guard needs to shoot firebugs, looters, rock-throwers, and other violent felons.

Peaceful protest that does not damage property or interfere with the rights of Americans is acceptable, perhaps should even be encouraged.

Anything beyond this, the government has a duty to stop, as protecting these things is one of the few reasons for government to exist.

If a megaphone and whining, “stop,” doesn’t work, an M4 will.

Scumbags understand violence.

Everyone understands violence.

As for the officer shooting her, there are many plausable scenarios, from her being in the zone they were trying to clear to the inaccuracy of the rubber bullet.

Not a problem.

In my politics, all the bullets would be real, on full auto, belt fed, aimed at chest level…

…and media who were told to leave the dispersal zone but felt entitled would be treated like everyone else.

America should not tolerate any part of this.

Shooting Aussie women in the back.

Just call it for what it is.

Incel inspired xenophobic misogyny.

How many Aussie coppers shot Trumper anti-maskers in Sydney; or anywhere else in Australia?

Aussies fought and died alongside the USA from Milne Bay to Tokyo Bay … from Villers-Bretonneux to Berlin … from Pusan to Kapyong …

… and what is the result?

Their granddaughters and great-granddaughters shot from behind.

Xenophobic misogyny not a good look.

BTW, you need to get better AI to author your diatribes. Setnaffa might have made a better fist than that sophomoric rant.

They just shot a couple of reporters for fun.

what do ROK Heads think would happen in Korea if a bunch of Americans started attacking Korean law enforcement while waving U.S. flags?

Well, that’s what you get when you send in unidentified people in face masks with ICE badges into businesses, restaurants, schools, etc, to drag out any immigrant, doesn’t matter legal or illegal and arrest them all in mass without any vetting. They arrested US citizens also, not just the illegals. Even the illegals, they’re doing nothing but working to pay their bills, they are not even violent criminals. This is what’s called instigating and baiting for violence, to create an excuse to send in the military and declare martial law.

This was all predicted.

We see those stooges everyday in Korea. But they are left alone to protest and harass people. Because they have a right to protest with freedom of thought. But not in Trump’s America.

No.

They are costing me money and I want them all deported.

For every illegal “just paying bills”, there is someone on welfare… and I am just “paying their bills”.

If we deport the illegals and cut off the welfare, we “kill two birds with one stone.”

Bonus: Idle hands do the devil’s work. When some welfare case has to hold a job to eat, he isn’t getting into as much mischief. You need fewer cops and prisons and fatherless children. Society spirals upwards.

But the first step is deporting illegals.

All versions of the news say directly or indirectly she was in an area being cleared.

She wasn’t clearing.

Just a guess, but next time, she will report from the sidelines instead of standing between the officers and the rioters.

She isn’t stunning and brave. She is inhibiting a police operation.

Real bullets and the problem would have been solved within a Kent State Minute.

As is always the case, Mr. Whitlock has pulled false equivalency fron the jaws of stupidity and then falated it himself.

“Oh the irony. Yet all the red hatters insist Jan 6 was just a big old love fest.”

Apart from much of January 6th being a product of:

– government agents in the crowd trying to stir things up

– capitol police opening the doors

– the refusal of Trump’s request to deploy the national guard beforehand

– the media outright lying about deaths and violence

The event was exceptionally peaceful. With only a few minor exceptions, people walked around like tourists, didn’t burn a single thing, almost no property damage, didn’t throw any rocks, no guns at the “armed insurrection”, etc.

And, they were all Americans… actually fighting for America.

The reason for the event, that has been lied about and intentionally buried, was not to reinstall Trump. It was to have transparency in what was almost certainly a fraudulent election.

In 2016, they didn’t fraud enough. In 2020, they did. In 2024, too many people were watching and they couldn’t.

You can believe the events of Jan 6 are equivilent to non-Americans waving mexican flags and burning cars while they attack police with rocks and fireworks…

…but like much of your life, you would be wrong.

Trump is sending in the Marines to a quiet city.

Project 2025, it was already written, what was to be done. They just needed an excuse – any excuse to send in the military. If the protests get any wider, those masterminds behind the Project 2025 will make Trump to declare martial law and suspend all democratic rights.

The deportation of migrants is just the beginning stages of targeting other marginalized groups, including homosexuals, transsexuals, racial minorities, non-white Christian groups (especially Muslims), and political dissenters. Black people are the next in line, as they will be forced to work in the fields for food (to replace the deported migrant workers), as if they’re going back to slavery. Trump already threatens to shut down the social network sites unless they comply with his decrees. Just yesterday, he successfully made ABC fire one of their reporters for criticizing him.

The white MAGA religious movement is happy. But do they think that the government won’t target them next just because they’re not the ones being targeted right now? For instance, just look at Elon Musk. You cross the MAGA leader, and Trump is threatening to take away his riches and deport him back to South Africa. Other people like Scott Bessent and Peter Teal, who are both powerful white men but gays, should watch out next. They get in bed with fascist hate mongers like they have; in time, they too will be targeted. Hispanics for Trump, Cubans for Trump, and all those minority groups that helped Trump get into power, are all getting what they deserve.

Trump Jr predictably brings out the “rooftop Koreans” as false equivalence for Trump Sr’s dick move. I just knew the American ALT-Right MAGA gun proponents were going to use this, yet once again.

This is Trump’s plan:

(1) declaring an emergency based on a so-called “rebellion,” “insurrection,” or “invasion,”

(2) using that “emergency” to justify bringing in federal agents with a monopoly of force (ICE, DHS, FBI, DEA, and National Guard)

(3) allowing those militarized agents to make dragnet abductions and warrantless arrests and detain people without due process,

(4) creating additional prison space and detention camps for those detained, and

(5) eventually, as the situation escalates, declaring martial law.

The infrastructure of a police state can build on itself. Those who are given authority over aspects of it, the internal militia, dragnets, detention camps, and martial law, seek other opportunities to invoke their authority.

As civilian control gives way to military control, the US splits into those who are most vulnerable to tyranny and those who support it. The dictatorship entrenches itself by fomenting fear and anger on both sides.

Seen this in South Korea during Chun Doo Hwan era, and lately the attempts by now impeached Yoon. Russia’s Putin succeeded in this strategy, and the US is looking more and more like Russia everyday.

“Trump is sending in the Marines to a quiet city.”

I noticed the riots where firey but peaceful.

“Project 2025, it was already written, what was to be done. They just needed an excuse – any excuse to send in the military. If the protests get any wider, those masterminds behind the Project 2025 will make Trump to declare martial law and suspend all democratic rights.”

It turns out burning, looting, and attacking police is a perfect “any excuse”. If the left doesn’t want the federal government to use that legal response, how about not doing violent crime.

“The deportation of migrants is just the beginning stages of targeting other marginalized groups, including homosexuals, transsexuals, racial minorities, non-white Christian groups (especially Muslims), and political dissenters”

Come on man! I was pronised that from 2015 to 2020 and not one gay went to a camp. I’m starting to think it is all bullshìt.

“Black people are the next in line, as they will be forced to work in the fields for food (to replace the deported migrant workers), as if they’re going back to slavery.”

Hopefully.

But before we discuss this further, let’s get the fundamentals clear.

An illegal brown person working in the fields is just trying to get a better life but a black person being owned by the state and moving to self-sufficiency doing the exact same work is a slave?

“Trump already threatens to shut down the social network sites unless they comply with his decrees.”

Example, please.

“Just yesterday, he successfully made ABC fire one of their reporters for criticizing him.”

Just yesterday, ABC suspended one of their reporters for extremely biased and fully subjective social media posts that violated ABC’s policies on unbiased reporting.

These policies are suddenly important as Trump wins, and is expected to win more, multi-million dollar lawsuits against legacy media for reporting that is not just biased but demonstratably false and malicious.

“The white MAGA religious movement is happy. But do they think that the government won’t target them next just because they’re not the ones being targeted right now?”

Fully agree. For the last 4 years, whites, MAGA, and Christians have been targeted in various ways. That can always happen again.

But no for thw next 3.5 years, and perhaps much more.

“For instance, just look at Elon Musk. You cross the MAGA leader, and Trump is threatening to take away his riches and deport him back to South Africa”

Hahaha!

Elon works with Trump: “Musk is a stupid loser who made all his money from government. It should be taken away and he should be deported.”

Elon is against Trump: “Trump is threatening Elon with all the things we were demanding two months ago. Orange man bad!”

This is a full conversation by itself. But you have to pick a position and stick with it before you are allowed to have it.

“Other people like Scott Bessent and Peter Teal, who are both powerful white men but gays, should watch out next. They get in bed with fascist hate mongers like they have; in time, they too will be targeted.”

As long as they support Trump and don’t turn on him for their own agendas, there is no way they will be targeted. Trump is very, very consistent in this. He knows which side his bread is buttered.

“Hispanics for Trump, Cubans for Trump, and all those minority groups that helped Trump get into power, are all getting what they deserve.”

I agree 100%.

They are getting a president that supports America no matter what minority you are.

It turns out a lot of American Hispanics favor America over Hispanic shìtholes becasue they are American and not racist.

You are an idiot and you are wrong about pretty much everything you yap about but at least you give me hope that this time next year, the gays will be in camps, the blacks will be in the field, and all the brown people will be somewhere else.

Sadly, you will likely be wrong… as usual.

There’s no one burning and looting LA. State media FOX fake News. lol. One street with chaos, after ICE tried to arrest all the nonwhite people who were out peacefully protesting, even those with valid immigration papers and citizenship. So Trump sends the entire army to quell a cooked-up violence. You don’t need thousands of combat troops to put down a couple of hundred protestors. This was the excuse to do what he did. MAGA people want to remove all the visible minorities by first demonizing them as criminals and monsters. Good luck with that. The MAGA people blame the immigrants for all their problems, but if you look at the criminal records, it’s the American whites who have higher crime rate, who make up the bigger percentage of drug abusers, and it’s the rich white Wall-street oligarchs and rich white politicians who have been ripping off America. It’s not other countries and immigrants who have ripped of America. It’s people like Trump and Musk who have ripped off America.

The Korean Americans who are living in downtown LA, corroborate that what I write, is true. This is just Trumpian dystopia playing itself out, using this as an excuse to declare a martial law.

Ok-Sprinkles-4255

Hey guys. Korean American here living in Downtown Los Angeles. Every chance I get to clear things up of what’s happening here I take it….

The Marines and National Guard is absolutely NOT necessary.

All the things you’re seeing on the news, the “violent” stuff, is regualted to just a few blocks around the fed building on 1st street. I live a few blocks from there down the street. The news, MAGA, and anti-immigration folks would have you believe that the entire city is on fire. It is not. Far from it.

The riots that happened after the Dodgers World Series win was FAR worse than what I’ve been seeing in the city. Far worse by a mile and there was no national guard or marines needed. Everything happening now is something the LAPD can handle or has seen already.

This is absolute posturing from the government. (They’re even sending in Marines via uncovered trucks so people can see them coming on the highway). Completely unnecessary.

If it were absolute chaos, then i would be the first person to say something…but that’s just not the case. Trumpers want this to be the “last stand” so bad, but it’s just not it.

ChickenHead

Korea Thing,

The military presence isn’t just for stopping the current riots.

It is a deterrent for any other riots as ICE steps up its enforcement in LA for the next 3.5 years.

The peabrains will eventually realize ICE isn’t going away… and they will get big mad.

But LA is the perfect target for Making America Great Again.

– loudmouth anti-American mayor (and governor) who need disempowerment

– filled with people disloyal to America who need to be removed

– an epicenter of illegal alien shadow economy that can, and must, be broken

– a state budget deficite that wouldn’t exist without all the perks given to illegal aliens (that American citizens don’t get)

– a great example of what will happen to other “sanctuary cities” who put short-term individual leftist political gain over long-term American success.

Like child trannies, it is great to see the lefties gushing over non-Americans burning cars while waving the Mexican flag.

Nobody loves Mexico more than the people who don’t want to live there.

Anyway, instead of whining, just accept the new normal.

America is for Americans.

Questions for Korean Thing(s),

Since you are defending the rioters/burners/looters and condemning the American government for doing some of the few jobs it is acceptable for them to do…

…protecting the safety, property, and rights of American citizens and enforcing America’s sovereignty…

…what is your exact defense of:

– those who complain that non-Americans who take jobs from Americans on welfare are being deported… don’t talk about unilateralism and heavyhandedness… if someone is a legal immigrant or citizen but fit the profile of an illegal alien, it is zero-effort to carry documentation showing this… just as I show the cop license, registration, and proof of insurance instead of making him work for it. S

– non-Americans, and perhaps Americans, waving Mexican flags on American soil in support of illegal Mexicans who do not want to live in Mexico yet want to receive all the benefits of America with none of the obligations and absolutely no gratefulness.

– individuals and media who claim nothing is happening, yet obviously it is. While small in comparison to an area with millions of people, it is not small if you lost your car or business. It is also not small when it interferes with legitimate law enforcement, either by blocking their lawful objective, damaging equipment, or injuring personnel. It is not small when it goes on for days while police alone are unable (or unwilling) to end it

– the promotion of organized leftist violence, with two examples being the distribution of a truckload of $60 face shields and prepositioned pallets of cinderblocks where there was no construction that were broken up and used against police

– the general violence of the situation where it is not a peaceful protest in the the style of Ghandi or MLK, or even the January 6 “insurrection”. Police are attacked with deadly objects, cars are burned, buildings are damaged, private and public property is destroyed, and stores are looted (that’ll show ICE!).

All four Korea Things can answer in their own way. Maybe you have a reasonable defense you can communicate in a thoughtful way.

Let’s see.

The Australian reporter was shot becasue it turns out you are not allowed to stand in the roadway and block traffic even if you are talking into a microphone… especially when the police have given an order to get out of the road.

As riots are now bring engineered in mkre cities, it is about time to load the live rounds.

“Peaceful protests in public places are acceptable. Violence, destruction, looting and violating the rights of uninvolved civilians is terrorism. Terrorists will be shot on site.

Also, if members of an invading force are found waving their battle banner¹, they will be shot as well.

Hasta la Pasta.”

¹Waving the Mexican flag on American soil in by a non-American invading force is an act of war. If an American does it, clearly suicide by cop.

We should probably clear up that California belongs to America and not Mexico.

Mexico sold it to America for cash (plus America took responsibility for all Mexican debts to Americans, which added another 20% on the price).

A few years later, Mexico sold more land from Arizona to Texas.

An American port at Baja was not politically acceptable, hence the Arizona Angle.

This was pushed by the railroads which made a great all-season railway from LA to New Orleans across flat land, connecting LA to the Mississippi.

This was one of the the three big railroads, including the original transcontental that primarily moved raw materials east and manufactured goods west… though lumber from the northwest moved east, down to the south, and back to the southwest on the south line.

Anyway, tell the Mexians sorry.

They held all this land for a fraction of the time America has had it
