First Lady Cleared of Graft Charges Involving Her Former Company
Prosecutors said they did not have enough evidence to prove that these companies hired Kim Keon-hee’s company to organize these art exhibitions because her husband was heading the Seoul District Prosecutors Office at the time:
Prosecutors have cleared first lady Kim Keon Hee of graft suspicions involving three art exhibitions hosted by her former cultural content company, officials said Thursday.
Kim had been under graft suspicions that about a dozen conglomerates sponsored three art exhibitions organized by her former company, Covana Contents, allegedly because President Yoon Suk Yeol was serving in a high-level prosecution position at that time.
Yoon was heading the Seoul Central District Prosecutors Office while one of the art exhibitions on Swiss sculpture Alberto Giacometti was held in 2018.

Well, Yoon is a former prosecutor, so it’s generally understood, he has them in his palm.
We will just have to wait until this b*tch is impeached and put this entire disgusting family back into prison where they belong.
I am not a Korean constitutional scholar so I am not familiar with the impeachment process for wives.

CH has a point there, the First Lady can’be impeached, since she isn’t holding an official office.
However, she can be charged and tried for a crime since immunity does not apply to the President’s family.
What you have to factor in there is since her husband was the former Supreme Prosecutor, the prosecutors know they will have cover if they decide to not pursue the case and they will also know that pursuing any investigations against her will not help their careers.
So yes in a way she enjoys some form of immunity, thanks to her husband being President.
Taking into account the above and GI Korea’s statement that “prosecutors said they did not have enough evidence”, I wonder if the prosecutors investigated to their best of their abilities or they simply decided to let it go and made up the excuse that there was “lack of evidence”.
The real situation is politicians’ immediate families should save whales and feed the poor.
More distant family should not be involved in any business that requires consideration or funding from the government.
The presumption with politicians is that anything they do which involves money is dirty.

Our stooge President has struck once again, he has appointed one of his long-time buddies in the prosecutor’s office to now lead the country’s $800-billion pension fund. The fund has lost 10% of its value last year, and now there’s a former prosecutor who is going to be running the pension fund that’s intended for aging Koreans who want to retire. The nepotism is astounding, with Yoon appointing all his political buddies in key positions – who know nothing about the things that they are leading. You would think that such a large retirement account should be handled by someone who knows something about investing and stocks. But that’s too logical in a country that’s rapidly becoming a third world due to one man and his wife, firmly supported by his masters, the United States.

I believe this statement cancels out the first statement, and shows our Setnaffarist leader is lying.
In a way our Setnaffarist leader is saying that he has “friends” in South Korea who needs to be “protected”.
And he believes the only one who can do that for him is a President from the PPP.
Because a PPP President will ensure that the USFK remain in Korea forever.
Setnaffa does not trust the South Korean Armed Forces to “protect” his “friends” and only trusts the USFK to do that for him.
So it is in his interest that a PPP President be elected and stays in power, and it does not matter whether that President is corrupt and incompetent and his policies hurt the average Korean.
As long as the President does whatever he can to have the USFK remain in Korea.
Not unlike the US policy towards the Shah of Iran, which I might add resulted in Khomeini.
