South Korea Considering Using Russian Made Vaccine
It would be interesting to see how many Koreans rush to get the Russian made vaccine if they decide to go this route:

Domestic contract manufacturing organizations (CMOs) of the Sputnik V COVID-19 vaccine have enjoyed a bullish run on the stock market this week, as the government began to consider use of the Russian vaccine to deal with a supply shortage of Pfizer and Moderna products.
Korea Times
President Moon Jae-in recently ordered his staff to review the feasibility of using Sputnik V, according to sources familiar with the issue. The Ministry of Food and Drug Safety also asked the foreign ministry to collect data on the safety of the Russian vaccine.
You can read more at the link, but I would not be surprised if the Moon administration is trying to play the Russians off of the Americans to get COVID vaccines out of the Biden administration.

Why doesn’t SK just get the vaccine from China? Or NK since they have no cases.
Russian vaccine is just shots of Stollies…Nastravia
Playing the Russians off against the Americans for covid vaccines is like playing a tranny crackwhore off against an old methhead for a bløwjob…
…when they are both HIV positive.
But imaginary problems require imaginary solutions.
China’s vaccines were proven to be less than 50% effective. So they are not useable vaccines. The Russian vaccines were proven to be over 92% effective – just as good as any vaccines from the west. The Russian vaccines get bad rap because of anti-Russian feelings in the US and EU. That still didn’t stop the data coming from a dozen countries around the world who used Russian vaccines with good results.
What I don’t understand is all the bad-mouthing of the Astra Zeneca vaccine, with all the scare news mongering of blood clots – about one case out of one million AZ shots.
What South Korea should do is what the US and EU did – block the exports of AZ vaccines which are being manufactured in SK Bioscience factory in Andong. South Korea should redirect all the AZ vaccines destined to other countries, to its own population and make the AZ shot more widely available to the population.
Forget about Pfizer, Moderna, or any of those shots that are only reserved for Americans and some Western European countries. What’s needed for South Korea is to ignore all the news story scares of AZ “side effects” and go full out using AZ vaccines made in Korea, as well as the Russian V5 vaccines which are also being made in Korea as well.
France considering it as well. Look it up.
I’d love for all of you defending the Rooskie vaccines to take it and describe your experience. Then, those who took another can describe theirs. All the pointless waving of someone else’s johnson is getting a bit dull.
Let those who want the shot take it. Let those who don’t don’t. Let those who don’t want to share their shot record be silent, too.
Sett, i take the Russian vaccine most weekends. Side effect is if i take to much vaccine I’ll have a headache in the morning.
LOL!
GI Korea, I do not believe that it is the Moon administration’s intentions to play off the Russians against the Americans.
This all started when the Governor of Gyonggi Province stated that he was looking into getting Russian vaccines for Gyonggi residents.
Considering that the governor is a presidential hopeful and vaccines have become a hot political issue in addition to it requiring Korean FDA approval, I think this is more political ploy than a serious attempt to get Russian vaccines.
However, it seems that Moon is taking it seriously because at the end of the day, he wants someone he likes being his successor for the DPK presidential ticket and it wouldn’t look good politically if the governor in the future says something along the lines of “Hey I wanted to get that vaccine but Moon sat on the issue and didn’t do anything.”
