South Korea to Wait and See How COVID Vaccine Impacts People in Other Nations Before Mass Implementation
This is one of the benefits of having the COVID pandemic under control, the South Koreans can watch other nations be guinea pigs before conducting mass vaccination of their own people:

Health authorities said the government decided to up the vaccine supply from 30 million people to 44 million to better fight the virus, but it won’t be in a hurry to inoculate people due to uncertainty over the vaccines’ safety and efficacy.
“As the outbreak in South Korea has remained within a manageable level, I think the government doesn’t have to hastily deploy vaccines like European nations and the United States as efficacy and safety concerns remain,” Lee Hoan-jong, an emeritus professor of Seoul National University, said during the briefing.
“We can secure enough vaccines to deploy them in different groups after closely monitoring potential side effects that may be discovered two or three months after vaccination in other countries.”

The ‘guinea pig’ line of reasoning is an excuse invented by the Calamity Moon government and the Korean left to cover up their incompetence and failure to pre-order the Pfizer and Moderna vaccines in a timely manner.
You’re probably right. However, I agree with their excuse “uncertainty over the vaccines’ safety and efficacy” as why I’m in no hurry to line up for a shot or two or however many the overlords decide we need this week. 90% of never getting COVID without a shot versus 90% of never getting COVID if I get a shot. My wife has been doing testing here and said the positivity rate is always well below 10%
I have questions. I’ll get the vaccine if my doctors recommend it for me. But inquiring minds, you know…
1. Influenza:
a. What percent of the population was exposed in 2019?
b. What percent of those exposed contracted influenza?
c. What percent of the population got flu shots in 2019?
d. What percentages of those who were hospitalized because of influenza that year had the shot vs. didn’t?
e. What percentages of those who passed away because of influenza that year had the shot vs. didn’t?
f. How many lockdowns were required to prevent overflowing ICUs with influenza patients?
2. COVID-19:
a. What percent of the population was exposed in 2019?
b. What percent of those exposed contracted the disease?
c. What percent of those with the disease required hospitalization?
d. What percent of those hospitalized because of the disease died from it?
e. What percent of reported COVID-19 deaths were from that disease as opposed to merely testing positive?
f; What percent of reported COVID-19 deaths were from gunshot wounds or traffic accidents?
g. What is the accuracy of currently available COVID-19 testing?
And then let’s do the same for 2020. Let’s try to be scientific about how we treat disease, as opposed to using leeches and witchcraft…
