Picture of the Day: A Letter from President Moon

Lee Rae-jin, the elder brother of a South Korean official killed by North Korean soldiers while drifting in its waters, holds up a letter from President Moon Jae-in in front of the Coast Guard headquarters in Incheon, west of Seoul, on Oct. 14, 2020. The slain official’s son received the letter the previous day after he wrote a letter to Moon last week, in which the son questioned the South Korean government’s announcement that his father sought defection and pleaded with the president to find the truth about his father’s death. No better than toilet paper.
You know. If Pres. Moon wanted to send a sincere response to the son of the dead civil servant, the least he could do is write the letter himself in his own handwriting instead of ordering an aide to type up a draft, review it, make revisions, and sign it.
