If Trump loses the 2020 election and is a lame duck for about 2 months, why not start a war your predecessor has to either fight or get out of? It sounds horrible and would be but as a President voted out of office what do you have to lose?

One of the recurring themes to come out in the Mueller report and elsewhere is many people working in or for this White House have refused to follow orders they believed were illegal or dangerous. Do you really think this president could get away with starting a war just for spite?
Although it would be a shame for Donald Trump to lose in 2020, it would open up all the possibilities that 2ID Doc talks about. Trump needs no one’s approval to unlock the nuclear football. Just target Fatty Kim and scare the hell out of him then stand down. Or, just for shits and giggles, park an Ohio-Class at Subic Bay in the Philippines. Because of all the Koreans of questionable loyalty in the Philippines nowadays, the word would definitely get back to Fatty that he’s staring down the barrel of 24 Trident missiles and an unspecified number of Tomahawk Land Attack Missiles (TLAM) from an unspecified fast attack submarine operating in the area. The U.S. can strike without warning and have it be totally devastating because North Korea runs on that old idiom if you cut off the head, the body dies. No more Fatty Kim and his Generals, no more problem. If you thought the Republican Guard gave up in droves during the Desert Storm, that will be nothing compared to the millions of NK Army soldiers that surrender for the promise of a can of SPAM.
If Fatty Kim wants to get into a cockfight with Donald Trump, he might want to find a bigger one that he’s got right now.
