S. The South Korean corvette sank after it was hit by a North Korean torpedo in seas near the western inter-Korean maritime border in the Yellow Sea, resulting in the deaths of 46 crewmen. The government has designated the fourth Friday of March as the commemoration day for them. (Yonhap)
