I can't emphasize enough how economically tied to China Iran is. If the Iranian government falls, China may lose access to a stunning 15-20% of its oil imports. That, coupled with the ~5% from Venezuela, could significantly impact China's ability to fuel itself.
Such a terrible shame… And right after snubbing that clown from Canaduh, too…

It turns out China has large oil reserves as a short-term buffer and has a diversified supply of oil from suppliers who can fill the gap at slightly higher prices.
There will be some pain for the teapots, small independent refineries, but the rest of China might not notice.
