Vietnam’s Deputy Defense Minister Accused of Sexual Misconduct During South Korean Visit
Here is something you just don’t see happen with a high profile government official visiting South Korea. Considering he did this to a woman he doesn’t know during a state sponsored trip, you know he is doing this to women working around him in Vietnam:

The defense ministry has summoned a Vietnamese defense attache stationed in South Korea over alleged sexual misconduct by Vietnam’s deputy defense minister during his visit to Seoul last month, military officials said Monday.
According to the officials, Senior Lt. Gen. Hoang Xuan Chien inappropriately touched a South Korean public servant during a banquet with high-ranking military officials on Sept. 11.
The Vietnamese vice defense minister was visiting Seoul on the occasion of the Seoul Defense Dialogue on Sept. 8-10.
Given the gravity of the case, the ministry summoned the Vietnamese defense attache eight days later to lodge a protest over the deputy minister’s behavior.

Not enough self-discipline has been the ruin of many men.
This happens quite often at this level globally.
– An aspiring young female government worker thinks the middle aged high level foreign official invited her for a private drink because of her insightful thoughts on geopolitics… and is shocked when he makes his move.
– A certain type of girl will KNOWINGLY flirt all night and then pretend to be shocked when he makes his move. Then they play the victim and get attention, special treatment, and are able to have some illusion of power over a high level man. Government work attracts this kind of harpy.
– In some countries there is an informal setup with a local lady for the night. (I saw this first-hand where the girls were certainly no more than 16, and maybe younger). The foreign official might (rightfully) think the introduction and her acceptance for further private interaction was part of the deal.
This guy is not a political novice and didn’t just grope a random girl. This happened because he sincerely had different expectations from reality, either through sincere misunderstanding or through intentional deception.
