Maybe, instead of building an aircraft carrier to try to match Japan, Seoul could spend the money on better desalinization technology and never worry about droughts again?

Otoh, China is a more pressing issue…

Ah yes being condescending to Korea is no friend of Korea.

Had kept himself up to date with the latest news he would have known that Korea canceled the aircraft carrier long time ago.

As for the drought, it is a result of incompetence on the part of the mayor of Gangneung City and the governor of Gangwon Province, both of whom are PPP members.

Yes, conservative right wingers, making things worse as usual, and it is the left who come in and clean up the mess made by the right wingers.

President Lee Jae Myung personally visited Gangneung yesterday, presided over a countermeasure meeting, and ordered the declaration of a disaster situation.

At this meeting, however, a frustrating situation unfolded.

The President repeatedly asked about the cost of securing raw water for supply, but the mayor of Gangneung was unable to give a proper answer, and in the end no clear response was provided
