President Trump Says Would Be Able To Resolve Any Conflict with North Korea
I think Trump was probably referring to any provocation that happens on the peninsula he would use his relationship with Kim Jong-un to get it resolved:

– Trump said he could end the Ukraine war in 24 hours. He could have by simply cutting off any assistance to Ukraine and let the Russians have it. But, this talk was a negotiating tactic to get Ukraine to sign away all the things Trump wanted to loot. Once they did, it is now in America’s interests to end the war WITHOUT Russia taking it all.
The simpletons fixate on yesterday’s statements without understanding today’s developments.
Trump has no problem changing his opinion when the situation changes instead of holding on to outdated policy that can only lead to failure.
As of now, Trump is doing the best possible in a complex situation of Russians, Ukrainianians, and Eurotards, all with competing goals.
