ROK Spy Chief Nominee Claims He is Not Pro-North Korea

Does anyone really believe Lee Jong-seok does not have pro-North Korea views?:

Lee Jong-seok, the nominee to lead the National Intelligence Service (NIS), pushed back against claims that he is pro-North Korea, Thursday, saying he would serve with a pragmatic approach focused on national interests.

“I don’t quite understand why my past remarks would be considered pro-North Korea,” Lee said during his confirmation hearing at the National Assembly.

His comments came in response to a question from Rep. Song Eon-seok of the main opposition People Power Party (PPP), who referenced Lee’s past statements opposing the deployment of the U.S. Terminal High Altitude Area Defense anti-missile system and the General Security of Military Information Agreement (GSOMIA) with Japan.

Korea Times

You can read more at the link, but Lee Jae-myung has basically never nominated a Pyongyang cheerleader in charge of the ROK intellgence service. During his time as unification minister Lee Jong-seok was involved in establishing the quasi-slave labor Kaesong Industrial Complex that has since been shuttered. He was also helping the ROK government send more money to North Korea than they contributed to USFK cost sharing. He even said that due to all the money they were giving to North Korea that no one there was starving any more.

Korea Thing, it is unclear if you noticed, but the EU members of NATO have gone truly batshìt self-destructive insane in everything from energy, to military policy.

And with their influence in international organizations, they want to push this insanity off on America.

No thanks.

Russia, however, is not insane. Their invasion of Ukraine is 100% rational. So is their policy on a lot of other things where the EU, and even America, has lost their way. And they aren’t trying to push failure off on America like the EU or disorder like the Chinese.

So, saying someone is pro-Russian has no bad feelings as long as they are not sabotaging America. If you can give an example of benefiting Russia while harming America, you have my attention. But you likely cannot.

Pro-Israel might get more traction, as many American politicians will hurt America to help Israel. Many members of the Deep State are even dual citizens.

Trump is working with Israel now to accomplish valid American goals. America is paying (as always), but things are actually getting done, and Israel is taking all the risk.

Iran never having a nuclear weapon, not funding regional (and occasionally global) terrorism and disorder, and being removed from the China/Russia sphere of influence is beneficial to America. If (when?) there is regime change, America wants things Iran has and Iran absolutely wants things America is selling.

Before trying to scare everyone with stuff you make up, be sure it is scary.
