Arrest Warrant Issued for Reporter Who Allegedly Posted Fake News About 99 Chinese Spies

Hopefully this effort to arrest people reporting fake news isn’t just against conservative media outlets:

Police on Tuesday applied for an arrest warrant for an internet media reporter over a controversial report alleging that 99 Chinese spies were apprehended at a National Election Commission (NEC) facility during former President Yoon Suk Yeol’s short-lived imposition of martial law on Dec. 3.

The reporter, whose identity is withheld, is accused of obstructing the NEC’s official duties by publishing a false article, according to the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency.

The January 16 article claimed that the 99 Chinese nationals captured during a South Korean-U.S. joint military operation were transported to a U.S. base in Japan’s Okinawa and confessed to all charges of election interference during the interrogation process.

The NEC rejected the claim as “clearly false” and filed a police complaint against the media.

The police said they will continue to strictly investigate similar online fake news articles.

If you come to the RoK Drop for news, you’re dumber than I thought. GIKorea mostly re-posts stuff he finds on the internet, not his original content. Sometimes he’ll provide an opinion along with those posts. Opinion, not news.

Even on real news sites with “professional” journalists and reporters, one should take any report with a grain of salt and compare with other sources.

These spies each had their own viking codename. The would meet and drink and talk about communism. They would leave their mark to show they were still operational.

That’s how they caught them.

They found 99 red bar runes.

In other words, he goads people into making biased political comments to forward and spread their agenda based on fake news and propaganda. Typical far-right behavior both in Korea (Pro-Yoon US flag brigade) and the US (the Trumpy Maggot movement).

Ah, the irony—accusing others of bias and propaganda while casually tossing out sweeping generalizations like confetti. Impressive how you managed to cram Korea, the US, and your personal disdain into one tidy little rant.

Also, just curious—if you’re so convinced this platform is a cesspool of fake news and far-right agendas, why are you here so often? Hate-reading must be exhausting. Or maybe deep down, you enjoy the attention as much as the outrage.

I don’t know about anyone else; but I come here to pick on chinabots and wannabee chinabots. /sarc

Seriously though, I enjoy the normal crowd, the occasional news about South Korea, and to remember the good times and the better times.

I come here to feel tough after bullying retards, making fun of women and minorities, and generally saying stuff that would get me punched in the mouth in real life.
