In 2007, my wife and I stayed at the Crown Hotel across from Yongsan and when coming back after our dinner meetings the Islamic Gentlemen on the front porch took time from their smoking like chimneys to glare at us.
I assumed it was because we were dressed for August weather and they disapproved; but it may be because they disapproved of mixed race marriages, too.
