It’s only a matter of time before U.S. bonds face a major crisis, potentially as soon as next year.
Donald Trump, who has long pushed for low interest rates and looser monetary policy, has made no secret of his disdain for Federal Reserve Chair Jerome Powell, whose term ends in 2026. Powell has proven to be a steady and competent leader, fiercely committed to maintaining the Fed’s independence from political interference.
However, Trump appears determined to exert control over the Fed by appointing a loyalist willing to align monetary policy with his political agenda. If this happens, the credibility of the Federal Reserve, and by extension, the broader U.S. financial system, could rapidly erode.
Once investors begin to sense that monetary policy is no longer guided by data but by political motives, we could see inflation spike and U.S. bonds lose their safe-haven status. This is already prompting foreign governments to reduce their holdings of U.S. debt, wary of a future where America’s financial commitments might be subject to political whims, or even default.
For anyone considering investing in the U.S. economy, now is the time to exercise caution and rethink the assumption that America’s financial institutions will remain impartial and stable under the Trump administration.

Chickenhead, this American small business owner explains to you dumb dumb delusional Americans why America is f*cked and can’t win against China. FOX News will never report this:
“Looks like Korea is going to start harvesting organs like commie china.”
The dirty little secret of organ donation is…
…dead organs are of no use.
All organs are removed from bodies that are functioning or being made to function.
While hospital bureaucracy has been known to engage in profitable and unethical actions, they would never pressure a family in shock and grief to “do some good” by sending the newly “brain dead” patient down the hall for a profitable harvest.
They would also never mix “from covid” and “with covid” or force treatments with a high mortality rate just because the government gave a large subsidy for doing what every doctor knew was the wrong thing.
America (and the world) is not always so different from commie China.
The misdeeds are simply packaged in a culturally compatible way.
The difference comes when there is no good package and American people simply won’t accept what the Chinese people cannot reject.
At the last assignment, an airman was in a motorcycling accident and pronounced brain dead. They waited until the family came to see “his body” one last time and…during those few days he woke up. A few months later he was back at work.
I was an organ donor until I worked in the hospital pathology lab. After that, I changed my mind.
Korean Man

So now there’s a problem with organ donations too? It’s not enough that you’re spreading misinformation about vaccines for basic childhood diseases like measles and smallpox—now you’re targeting something as critical as organ donation?
What exactly is the goal of this White Christian Nationalist agenda? To drag society back to the 19th century?
Why is it that so much of what the US far-right spreads turns out to be false? Take this example: claims that Warren Buffett said Trump intentionally crashed the stock market because he “knows what he’s doing.” Buffett himself publicly denied ever saying that, calling it outright fake news pushed by the far-right. And that’s just one example among many.
“claims that Warren Buffett said Trump intentionally crashed the stock market because he “knows what he’s doing.”
I don’t remember anyone making that claim (it is possible I missed it).
Warren Buffet has, however, been worried about the trade deficit (very publicly) for a long while, and does believe in taking steps to balance it. He had also been holding a lot of cash for what he believed to be an impending market “correction”.
Per organ donations, I think you should definitely be an organ donor KM. I’d never recommend otherwise. It is a very generous thing to do. I’m just not that trusting now that I’ve seen what happens in an organ harvest.

Trump is now threatening to remove Federal Reserve Chairman Jerome Powell, making him the latest scapegoat for Trump’s mounting economic failures. Ironically, Powell might be the last person in Trump’s circle who actually knows what he’s doing, unlike the swarm of DEI-box-checking loyalist appointees who follow Trump’s orders without question.
Meanwhile, the U.S. dollar has plunged 1.5% in just 24 hours as the financial slide accelerates. Foreign investors are losing faith in the U.S. government and pulling their money out. And honestly, who can blame them? If they can’t sell into the U.S. market, they don’t earn dollars. And without dollars, they’re not buying U.S. bonds or debt.
Trump and the MAGA movement are being cornered—and they know it. What’s the next move? Besides Trump’s increasingly erratic and furious rants on X, the desperation is becoming obvious.
And this is just the beginning. Give it another month: when store shelves start to empty and serious shortages of daily necessities kick in, discontent will spread fast, especially in MAGA country. With summer around the corner and protests likely to surge, Trump may try to declare a national emergency, suspend civil liberties, and tighten his grip on power.
This is what happens when a country collapses economically and turns into an authoritarian, despotic state.
ChickenHead
Korea Things, you are so fun to make fun of. But let’s try something new.
The claim that Trump is “threatening to remove Federal Reserve Chairman Jerome Powell” as a scapegoat for economic issues ignores the broader historical and legal context. Presidents have routinely expressed dissatisfaction with Federal Reserve policy when interest rates affect political and economic outcomes, including Obama and Biden-era criticisms. Trump’s desire to replace Powell reflects a policy disagreement… primarily over aggressive interest rate hikes that many economists believe are contributing to recessionary pressure… not a personal vendetta or authoritarian impulse. Moreover, the notion that Trump surrounds himself only with “DEI-box-checking loyalists” is both politically charged and inaccurate.
The statement that the U.S. dollar “plunged 1.5% in 24 hours” is misleading without context. Currency fluctuations of that magnitude can happen routinely in response to interest rate guidance, geopolitical events, or even speculative trading, and are not unique to the Trump era or MAGA movement. The claim that foreign investors are “pulling their money out” lacks concrete data and oversimplifies global capital flows. Foreign appetite for U.S. Treasury debt remains strong due to America’s relative stability, legal transparency, and the dollar’s role as the world’s reserve currency. To claim the global economy is bailing on the U.S. because of political drama is speculative and disconnected from broader financial dynamics.
Asserting that Trump and the MAGA movement are “cornered” is speculative and emotionally charged rather than rooted in policy analysis. While Trump’s rhetoric on social media may be combative, it’s consistent with his known communication style and not unique to moments of political stress. This argument assumes intent (desperation) without evidence and equates vocal opposition with collapse, which is a weak correlation at best. MAGA has shown resilience, electoral gains, and high voter turnout, suggesting momentum rather than retreat.
The prediction that store shelves will soon empty and widespread shortages will erupt—particularly in “MAGA country”—is both alarmist and lacking economic support. There is no current indication from major supply chain indicators (like the Logistics Managers’ Index or producer inventories) suggesting such breakdowns are imminent. Tying hypothetical shortages to Trump voters is both illogical and overtly politicized. Supply chain disruptions, when they have occurred (e.g., during COVID-19), have been driven by global logistics issues and labor constraints—not U.S. political ideology.
Finally, the accusation that Trump will declare a national emergency, suspend civil liberties, and “tighten his grip on power” is a dystopian prediction unsupported by past behavior. While Trump has declared national emergencies before (like for border security), they were executed within existing legal frameworks, overseen by Congress and the courts. The U.S. constitutional system has checks and balances that have proven robust even in times of extreme polarization. To suggest a full-blown authoritarian collapse is not only speculative but undermines the credibility of genuine critiques by resorting to fear-driven hyperbole.

Moreover, the notion that Trump surrounds himself only with “DEI-box-checking loyalists” is both politically charged and inaccurate.
None of Trump’s cabinet posts had any experience running a government, including the most capable (Scott Bessent, who is horrible but at least not the worst) out of the group of DEI hires. Just look at your Secretary of Defense as one perfect example of a DEI hire.
The claim that foreign investors are “pulling their money out” lacks concrete data and oversimplifies global capital flows.
Read or watch the news, not FOX. Tariffing the entire world by pulling fake trade numbers out of their a$$es, means the world doesn’t have any confidence in your government as a stable, logical country where normal business can be conducted.
There is no current indication from major supply chain indicators
I don’t know what you are thinking. Your country has slapped 250% tariffs on Chinese goods, which are now completely blocked, and has slapped, on average, 25% tariffs on the world. Even the US allies are pissed off, needlessly angered by Trump/MAGA movement, and are boycotting the US. Of course, your supply chains are going to be affected. What you see on the shelves today was brought in before the tariffs. Anything after the tariffs means you will be paying much more. Are you dumb?
While Trump has declared national emergencies before (like for border security), they were executed within existing legal frameworks, overseen by Congress and the courts. The U.S. constitutional system has checks and balances that have proven robust even in times of extreme polarization.
The US Supreme Court ruled against Trump, 9-0. Yet Trump refuses to abide by the Constitution. Instead, he has been posting threats against judges, and also nullifying the decisions against him. What checks and balances?

“The Japanese have just been in Washington. Their experience apparently was they went to talk to the American leadership on this matter, and the American leadership said, ‘What are you offering?’ And the Japanese said, ‘Well, what is it that you want?’ And the Americans could not explain what they wanted,’” Freeman says.
So, the Japanese through their ways, have discovered, what we suspected all along.
Trump, without any strategic thinking, unleashed tariffs, created a trade war which has resulted in a weaker dollar and a stock market crash.
No doubt this will lead to a worsening US economy and higher prices for American consumers.
That is not to say about US corporations who will also suffer.
I wouldn’t be surprised if some people who voted for Trump are regretting their decision and hope to turn back time so they can vote for Kamala.

C’mon, CH, you know the Korean Thing(s?) have never succeeded in negotiating anything. But they could, if they really wanted to change.
To my shame, I was very successful in achieving many “romantic” encounters in Seoul. My “body count” embarrasses me now.
Never once was I asked to pay “rent”. And we often took turns paying for meals, theatre tickets, and etc.
I was fat, over 40, and made no promises about the future. They were all nice young women with attractive looks and personalities—mostly store clerks as I didn’t “shop” at work or in bars (too much trouble that way).
I never “slept over” on the first date. In spite of my physical motivation, I needed to make sure which of us was hunter vs. prey.
I think it boils down to something insanely simple: lonely people like hearing kind and respectful words, even from strangers.
That’s part of the reason I think the Korean Thing(s?) are incels. They couldn’t attract flies with the scat they spew here.
On the other hand, they can, unless they really are inmates in a Chinese gulag, change and become more successful in all areas of their life.
I know. I have changed considerably since back then. I value my mental and physical health more. I have a wonderful wife. And I value others more. Even those trapped by failure after brutal self-inflicted failure
I still try to say kind things to people. Not to get a date but to improve their day. Which is why I try to tell the Korean Thing(s?) to drop the self-hatred, bitterness, and rage. They’re only poisoning themselves…

As Setnaffarian is based on Swardspeak, it is no surprise that there is a failure to communicate in American English.
Here is the golf club story again with translations into American English using Merriam-Webster to help the Swardspeaking Setnaffarians.
After JD (
[New Latin juris doctor] doctor of jurisprudence; doctor of law) was given his favorite wedgie (an iron golf club with a broad low-angled face for maximum loft) in the bunker (a sand trap or embankment constituting a hazard on a golf course) by DJ (District Judge) at Mar-a-Lago (Resort and National Historic Landmark on a barrier island in Palm Beach, Florida) … JD yowled (to utter a loud long cry of grief, pain, or distress) with pleasure.
Ruff, ruff (transitive verb: to play a trump on [a card previously led or played]).
So … a story about two canine members of the legal fraternity playing a round of golf in Florida is lensed (to make a motion picture of) by the setnaffarians into their own perpetual fantasy.

Ah yes, a golf club becomes a Freudian symbol, a legal degree morphs into a subcultural identity, and Mar-a-Lago hosts yet another drag revue in the bunker, where JD and DJ reenact Kafka in khakis. Truly, Setnaffa is not John Waters—it’s John Grisham with heatstroke.
Your linguistic safari through Merriam-Webster is touching, if not brave—an etymological Rescue Rangers episode for readers with unresolved Scrabble trauma. You’ve weaponized the dictionary like a substitute teacher trying to win a rap battle.
But let’s be honest: the real fantasy here isn’t “Setnaffarian golf court cosplay,” it’s you imagining your wordplay is subversive. You’ve built a satire trampoline and then congratulated yourself for bouncing. The only bunker you’re in is cognitive.
Your translation table is impressive, but let’s not pretend you’re Alan Turing decoding camp slang from the Enigma machine of Palm Beach. If JD got a wedgie in the bunker, it wasn’t irony—it was karma for all this overwriting.
In conclusion, while the Setnaffarians may live in a world of pastel wigs, iron wedges, and scented verdicts, you, dear writer, live in a two-bedroom thesaurus with a view of your own cleverness.
Now kindly return my emotional ten dollars. You owe me change.

This looks all too familiar to Koreans, who have gone through this already to fight fascism, with a crucial Korean election coming up in June. Hopefully, Yoon will be in prison soon, and Trump as well, someday.
Chickenhead, this American small business owner explains to you dumb dumb delusional Americans why America is f*cked and can’t win against China. FOX News will never report this:

Commie china heavily invested into Korean entertainment industry. https://x.com/i/status/1913447848966046183
Never give up your guns.
None of Trump’s cabinet posts had any experience running a government, including the most capable (Scott Bessent, who is horrible but at least not the worst) out of the group of DEI hires. Just look at your Secretary of Defense as one perfect example of a DEI hire.
Read or watch the news, not FOX. Tariffing the entire world by pulling fake trade numbers out of their a$$es, means the world doesn’t have any confidence in your government as a stable, logical country where normal business can be conducted.
The US Supreme Court ruled against Trump, 9-0. Yet Trump refuses to abide by the Constitution. Instead, he has been posting threats against judges, and also nullifying the decisions against him. What checks and balances?
Korean Thing must really be sad to be forced to spout so much that just ain’t so…
EU and Canada warn their citizens who want to enter the US, do not use your phone, use throwaway phones, as US customs agents are digging through phones and computers to arrest anyone who criticizes the US.

“as US customs agents are digging through phones and computers to arrest anyone who criticizes the US.”
If you can provide an example of that, I will whine even louder than you are.
But we both know that hasn’t happened in the way you are claiming.
…and it might not have even happened at all.
Another security leak by Trump’s DEI hire Secdef.
Hegseth facing pressure over second Signal chat leak
Not only that, it seems that the Pentagon is in a mess, and that during the time when relations with China are deterioating thanks to Trump’s reckless and needless tariff wars making war with China more likely.
(Didn’t the guy say “no more wars?”)
So we have a DEI hire, former Fox News host, and an alcoholic to boot , leaking classified information and destroying the US’s ability to respond to contingencies.
No doubt, Trump through his dumb Secdef is planning to undermine the US on behalf of Russia and China.
This clearly shows that there is no strategy, plan, and endgame to the latest Trump tariff wars.
Japan Can’t Get an Answer on What the US Wants From a Trade Deal: Report | PetaPixel
In the three months since Musk was elected, the USD has tanked 15% against the Euro.

Electric motor boating in Texas … … … pbrpbrpbrpbrpbrpbrpbrpvrpbr … … …
Still waiting for Hillary to be “arrested”.
I wonder if the Japanese know the difference between, “And the Americans could not explain what they wanted,” and “DID NOT explain what they wanted.”
The loud dummies don’t.
Of course the Americans CAN explain what they want.
But that’s not always the best way to start a negotiation.
When you get a lecture on international trade policy or negotiation stratigies, just ask what the difference is between a man and a woman. That is a good first-level filter.
Really? The USAF guys are now trashiing USMC Vance?
Trump’s minions setting up JD Vance as the Failed Tariff Czar!!.
How the worms have turned.
The Korean Things are lonely, angry incels with absoluty no power and no potential.
You can’t hurt a guy like that with your words.
But you can lay excellent groundwork for them to hurt themselves.
It seems that @setnaffa and the Setnaffarians can’t find anything logical points to rebutt my comments.
This proves that what I’ve said is correct.
As previous situations have shown, @setnaffa and the Setnaffarians when confronted with facts that they can’t rebutt and in a situation which they can’t win, will try to deflect by resorting to personal attacks in an attempt to degrade the other person and not hand to that other person, the obvious victory.
There is nothing to rebut.
You make sweeping conclusions with no chain of reasoning to get there, exaggerated economic claims in conflict with history, and politically charged speculation.
It is easier to talk to a dog about his favorite brand of golf clubs.
Discussing golf clubs?
After JD was given his favorite wedgie in the bunker by DJ at Mar-a-Lago … JD yowled with pleasure.
Ruff, ruff.
Korean Thing is never really rational in terms of higher level reasoning, but sometimes it isn’t rational by any metric.
I wonder why it would even bother to type something like that out?
CH, it seems they love the gheys.
“CH, it seems they love the gheys.”
That’s too bad.
Suicide statiatics are driven by self-hatred.
Looks like we are stuck with them.
LOL… Trump just capitulated to China. He met another bully stronger than him, and the US backed itself into a corner with no way out except to throw in the white towel. The only way to deal with bullies is to bully them back. China doesn’t need the US nearly as much as the US needs China’s products and its loans. Trump and MAGA company overestimated the US power.
I guess Korean Man is talking about this;
Trump says China tariffs will drop ‘substantially – but it won’t be zero’ | Trump tariffs | The Guardian
So yes Trump did blink.
It amazes me that Trump gets by with the same stupid trick decade after decade.
He brags about it. He writes books about it.
Yet…
Stupid people keep falling for it.
Trump: (in thought) I want 10%
Trump: I want %200%
Opponent: What!?!
Observers: Trump is crazy.
Trump: OK. I will take 100%
Opponent: But… but… but
Observers: Trump is stupid and crazy and unpredictable and has no plan
Trump: OK. You win. I will take 20%.
Opponent: Ok, sucker. Ha ha ha! We beat Trump.
The stupidest people in the room: Heh heh heh, Trump blinked. What a loser. He is a failed businessman. He grabs their pùssy because he is a racist. Heh heh heh
Setnaffa is John Waters. Please give me my ten dollars.
Phtephen should get a breathalyzer attachment for his PC so he can avoid drunk-posting.
And, like the rest of the Korean things, take a class on how to summarize.
They’re all just embarrassing.
CCP China must be broke if that’s these best they can afford.
