It is unclear if right and left mean anything anymore.
The “left” has abandoned traditional liberal values. The “right” is no longer “conservative”.
Now, it is more of a globalist / nationalist divide which reflects a Main Street / Wall Street divide.
And almost all the politicians are on Wall Street’s side.

Used to read in my University library, now I need a hard copy of Foreign Affairs to line the bottom of my parrot’s cage, either that or emergency camping TP.
