An IMAX theater in Seoul, at iPark Mall, has Tempur-Pedic beds, (reclining/adjustable types) to lie down and watch the movie on. Two tickets are 100,000 KRW.

Traditional theater seats are so Y2K.

Liz, you’ve already seen the new film? AI is saying the South Korea release date is May 22. You well-connected or something? Or is the AI just wrong (again)?

‘Tis a 3 year old flick.

From Wikipedia:

Top Gun: Maverick premiered at CinemaCon on April 28, 2022, and was theatrically released by Paramount Pictures in the United States on May 27. It was acclaimed by critics, with many considering it superior to the first film. It won Best Film from the National Board of Review and was also named one of the top-ten films of 2022 by the American Film Institute. The film was nominated for six awards at the 95th Academy Awards (including Best Picture), winning Best Sound, and received numerous other accolades. It grossed $1.496 billion worldwide, making it the second-highest-grossing film of 2022 and the highest-grossing film of Cruise’s career. A sequel is in development.

OTOH, Kevin, folks around here like you and don’t accuse you of some sort of religious cult of sockpuppets… so you’re way ahead of me…

The “Korea Things” even get me mixed up with both GI and CH. Tried to blame me for Liz, too.
