China Completes Deployment of BeiDou Satellite Navigation System

This is a significant accomplishment for China to have completed its BeiDou satellite navigation system. It increases both their soft power as well as military clout to not be reliant on GPS:

A model of Chinese BeiDou Navigation Satellite System is displayed during the 12th China International Aviation and Aerospace Exhibition in Zhuhai city, south China’s Guangdong province on Nov. 7, 2018. President Xi Jinping, the leader of the ruling Communist Party and the People’s Liberation Army, officially commissioned the system in Beijing on Friday, July 31, 2020.

China is celebrating the completion of its BeiDou Navigation Satellite System that could rival the U.S. Global Positioning System and significantly boost China’s security and geopolitical clout.

President Xi Jinping, the leader of the ruling Communist Party and the People’s Liberation Army, officially commissioned the system Friday at a ceremony at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing.

That followed a declaration that the 55th and final geostationary satellite in the constellation launched June 23 was operating after having completed all tests.

Motorola taught ’em in the late 90s when they were launching those Iridium satellites from China…

Here’s a nifty trick. Using Google maps or one of the Korean navigation apps, you only get a great big blank area for the US military bases. I got my Samsung phone in Beijing and it came with a couple of Chinese navigation apps. While I’m in Korea and on the US bases, I use those, especially on Camp Humphreys, to navigate. All the roads show up. Apparently I’m not the only one who figured that out because someone else helpfully marked the commissary, the Exchange, and other popular destinations on the bases.

So… You’re not “Canadian” after all… You’re using Chinese apps to help them pinpoint American bases and verify locations…

Tsk, tsk, tsk…

Shush, child. It’s long been quite easy to “pinpoint” the US bases in South Korea. Way back when there was a curfew required by the South Korean government in Seoul, said curfew also requiring a blackout from midnight to 4 a.m., that did not apply to the US bases. Thus the base was, shall we say, a bright shining beacon which could easily be used for targeting.

“Shush”? “Child”? That’s awfully darn racist of you.

Maybe you need to check your privilege.

And then start answering CH’s questions.

Or get back under your bridge before we send out the goats.

Racist? Hahahaha! First off, I grew up in the US as I’ve already told you. In fact, I grew up in Dixie. Child is how we Southerners refer to both children and people acting in a childish manner. You qualify for the latter.

Oh, and what has Trump brought to the US other than embarrassment? HIs latest stupidities were saying he brought NASA back from the dead when in fact it wasn’t on life support nor dead, confusing a private enterprise, SpaceX, with a government entity, and saying that his “generals seem to feel that” the explosion in Beirut was definitely an attack when those generals never said such a thing. Look, Trump is ignorant and has no actual plan for governing the country. He’s incompetent. And if you support him, you’re just as bad as he is.

Oh, speaking of racist, that’s Trump for you, too.

You need to apologize for your racist remarks, troll. And you need to start doing more than pushing innuendo and falsehood. Or you can go to the devil.

1. I made no racist remark.

2. I made no innuendo and posted no falsehoods.

3. Somone, not I, sounds like he needs a time-out.
