President Trump Threatens to “Totally Destroy North Korea” at UN Address

It is going to be interesting to see how the Kim regime responds to President Trump’s UN speech because he has made it pretty clear what is coming Pyongyang’s way if they don’t stop their provocations:

President Trump made his first address to the United Nations General Assembly on Tuesday morning, telling the gathering of world leaders that if Pyongyang continues its nuclear provocations, the United States “will have no choice but to totally destroy North Korea.”  [Yahoo News]

You can read more at the link as well as watch President Trump’s speech where he also said “Rocket Man was on a suicide mission” in reference to Kim Jong-un.

He said “if” US is attacked, then US will attack. It’s unlikely either NK or US will attack. They will just trade barbs and conduct tests/exercises as usual.

“He said “if” US is attacked, then US will attack.”
True. This is what he actually said:

“The United States has great strength and patience, but if it is forced to defend itself or its allies, we will have no choice but to totally destroy North Korea.
The United States is ready, willing and able. But hopefully, this will not be necessary.”

Somehow Yahoo interprets this as “if they continue doing what they are doing (aka “provocation”) we will completely destroy them. Followed by “Loud murmurs” and all that.

I thought his speech was great. Wonder when the last time was a US leader stood at the UN podium and welcomed everyone to New York. LOL!
I especially liked this bit:
“Too often, the focus of this organisation has not been on results, but on bureaucracy and process. In some cases, states that seek to subvert this institution’s noble ends have hijacked the very systems that are supposed to advance them.

For example, it is a massive source of embarrassment to the United Nations that some governments with egregious human rights records sit on the UN Human Rights Council.

The United States is one out of 193 countries in the United Nations, and yet we pay 22 per cent of the entire budget and more. In fact, we pay far more than anybody realises.

The United States bears an unfair cost burden. But, to be fair, if it could actually accomplish all of its stated goals, especially the goal of peace, this investment would easily be well worth it.’
