Kim Jong-un Replies Directly to President Trump’s UN Speech By Calling Him A “Dotard”

Here is Kim Jong-un’s reaction to President Trump’s speech to the UN General Assembly:

Famous for using bombastic, derogatory and often-awkward English slams against enemies, North Korean state media sent people scrambling for dictionaries Friday with a dispatch that quotes leader Kim Jong Un calling President Donald Trump “the mentally deranged U.S. dotard.”

The what?

Dotard means a person in a feeble or childish state due to old age. It’s a translation of a Korean word, “neukdari,” which is a derogatory reference to an old person.

It was used in an unusual direct statement from Kim that the Korean Central News Agency transmitted verbatim in response to Trump’s speech at the U.N. this week, in which he mocked Kim as a “Rocket Man” on a “suicide mission,” and said that if the U.S. is “forced to defend itself or its allies, we will have no choice but to totally destroy North Korea.”  [Associated Press]

Wouldn’t it be great if Kim Jong-un got his own Twitter account and him and President Trump could just have a Twitter war instead of going back in forth in the media like this?

Diplomacy by public name calling? National leaders were supposed to be role models for children. Generation Z will be ruined. 🙄

JoeC,

Trump is not a politician. He is a salesman and a master brander.

As we saw in the election, he used branding to beat out the best the Republicans could come up with… Lyin’ Ted, Little Marco, Low Engergy Jeb… names that now sound so natural they will stay in the American consciousness for another generation.

And when he was done with that, he beat Crooked Hillary… a name that likely played a roll in swinging some voters in his favor to win the election.

Trump works with catchy phrases and simple visualizations everyone can understand… from Crazy Bernie to The Wall (which is metephorical rather than actual… and always has been).

When action is taken against North Korea, it won’t be against Ching Chong Cheng Chang Wing Wong Ding Dang (what many Americans essentially hear), it will be against Rocket Man… which carries a very visual threat worthy of whatever response is necessary.

If people would listen to Trump instead of media intentional misinterpretation of Trump, they would live happier and more satisfying lives… as the world would make a lot more sense.
