Big-Leg Beggar Reportedly Continuing His Lavish Lifestyle in Seoul
|If anyone see this guy begging for money in Seoul I recommend to not give him anything unless you don’t mind funding his lavish lifestyle:
Notorious “big-leg beggar” Benjamin Holst has been refused entry onto a Thai Airways flight to Laos via Bangkok.
Sharing his frustration on Facebook yesterday (Tuesday, September 12), the German wrote: “Trouble whit Thai airways ): f**k Thai airways.” [sic]
He has since caught a flight to Seoul, South Korea, where has already shared pictures of a lavish meal and pole-dancing bar. (……)
Holst uses his grotesquely deformed leg to trick kind-hearted people into funding a lifestyle of constant travel and partying. [PLN via Reddit]
You can read more at the link, but I am surprised this guy doesn’t have his own reality show by now.
Begging with a deformed wheel seriously pays that well?
Liz,
Back in the early 90s, I used to get a book catalog of odd titles. One book offered was titled “How to Make $400 a Day Panhandling.”
The blurb said that most beggars barely supported themselves, but with the right location and right approach, you could bring in good money.
I never ordered the book, of course, but I will admit I was curious. If you know the scam, it’s a little harder to be taken in by it.
Oh my god! Look at that picture! The size of those swollen legs are grotesque!
I think he is handing her money, poor thing.
LOL CH.
At the DongSeoul Station traffic light between the bus terminal and the subway station there is a Korean man who has been panhandling at this location for years. I have no doubt he pulls in good money. That traffic light gets tens of thousands of people traffic everyday. I used to give to him money also until I seen him get up and walk into the convenience store to exchange his change for bills. (I thought he couldn’t walk since he is usually laying flat on his stomach on cardboard or on a wheeled roller, but he does have a deformed hand). I wonder why no other beggars try to get his location, lol.
