When I first read this article I was wondering if it was a Duffel Blog entry, but the person who leaked Top Secret information really is named Reality Winner:

The alleged leaker accused of feeding a classified report to an online news site has a colorful history on social media that lays bare her political leanings as an environmentalist who wanted to “resist” President Trump.
Reality Winner, 25, is a contractor with Pluribus International Corporation assigned to a federal facility in Georgia, where she allegedly leaked a classified intelligence report containing “Top Secret Level” information. The report, according to the Department of Justice, contained classified defense information from an intelligence community agency.
While the DOJ did not say which site published the information, the charges were announced just as The Intercept published details of a National Security Agency report on Russian hacking efforts during the 2016 presidential election.
According to the Justice Department, Winner admitted to printing a classified intelligence document despite not having a “need to know,” and with knowledge the report was classified. Winner further admitted removing the report from her office space and mailing it to the news outlet, according to the criminal complaint. [Fox News]
You can read more at the link, but it appears she was motivated by politics because of her anti-Trump Facebook postings. What is clear though is that she needs to receive the maximum sentence possible for leaking Top Secret information to the media because this leak is absolutely ridiculous.
What makes this even more pathetic is that this information was already known to the media. CNN reported back in October 2016 that federal officials told them that Russia may have compromised the personal information of Florida, Illinois, and Arizona voters. This leaked document is just the source for the information that federal officials already briefed the media. So Reality Winner has likely thrown her life away for providing information the media already knows and did not change one vote during last year’s election.
Reading her social media is like seeing into the twisted mind of the perfect archetype of entitled, self-important, hateful, spiteful, angry leftist hippie bítches without a firm grounding in reality…
…pardon the pun… as she legally changed her name to reality.
It will do the country good for her to be out of circulation for 30 years… though the next leftist president will be sure to free her as he leaves office.
Whoever hired her and whoever vetted her should also be going to jail as they were criminally negligent in their duties.
I actually know an English “professor” who looks and thinks like this. Being in the same room with her when she talks is like fingernails on the chalkboard of my soul.

Some doing her PR forgot to do a basic google search on her. All kind of alarms going off reading her back ground.
DIdn’t this person have to pass a clearance to have access to information?
And if she’s up on social media, she should know since the DNC the left is no longer the rabid fan of informants that they were back in the day.

The woman accused of leaking classified information once wrote she wanted “to burn the White House Down…find somewhere in Kurdistan to live,” prompting prosecutors on Thursday to argue she would flee the country if she was released on bond.
The defense her family and lawyer are using I find to be quite pathetic as well:
“She offered up her life for this nation and to see her treated so vilely is an insult to every person who’s ever worn a uniform,” Gary Davis, Winner’s stepfather, told WSB-TV.
In court, Winner’s defense attorney Titus Nichols said his client was being punished for being a typical tech-savvy millennial and exaggerating the threat she poses.
“Because my client is a millennial and she knows how to use technology, that’s somehow proof of evil intent,” Nichols said. “The government is scraping and clawing to build a mountain out of a molehill.”
So if you are prior service and know how to use a computer this means this gives you the right to leak Top Secret documents to the media?
“She offered up her life for this nation and to see her treated so vilely is an insult to every person who’s ever worn a uniform,”
I’ve worn a uniform and I don’t feel insulted by anything except Reality Winner taking a giant dump on America and using her SF312 as toilet paper all for some stupid political ideology. Might call BS on the whole “offered up her life” but I really don’t know her service background so meh.
