  1. So much for Trump’s tough stance on China.

    https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/wonk/wp/2017/05/11/trump-china-reach-preliminary-trade-agreements-on-beef-poultry/?utm_term=.58ae38424086#comments

China just threw Trump some bones to make him look good (a little), and basically took care of Trump with ease. How do these few bones thrown at Trump by China help the US trade deficit problem with China? The US trade deficit with China will grow even larger now with this trade agreement. Enjoy your Chinese processed ‘cooked’ chickens.

  2. Considering Fatty’s previous attacks using malware, this isn’t outside the realm of possibility. And with the added bonus of generating currency in the form of Bit Coin? Right up their alley.

I’ll leave the technical details to those better versed than I am.
    http://www.npr.org/sections/thetwo-way/2017/05/16/528587064/north-korea-may-be-linked-to-wannacry-ransomware-researchers-say

The WannaCry ransomware that attacked computers in 150 countries has lines of code that are identical to work by hackers known as the Lazarus Group, according to security experts. The Lazarus hackers have been linked to North Korea, raising suspicions that the nation could be responsible for the attack.

The connection was made by Google security researcher Neel Mehta, who pointed out similarities between WannaCry and malware used by Lazarus, the group that’s been blamed for the Sony Pictures hack of 2014 and for stealing millions of dollars from a Bangladeshi bank in 2016.

After Mehta highlighted the elements in the code, other researchers confirmed similarities that early versions of WannaCry (also called WannaCrypt, Wana Decryptor or WCry) shared with malware tools used by Lazarus.

More at the link, of course. And copying code from other software is common enough. If the NorKs created the original tools, then someone further down the line cut and pasted a section that might give the originators plausible deniability.

  3. Here is the latest media manufactured crisis at the White House. Supposedly President Trump warned the Russians that ISIS is building laptop bombs which has been reported for months in the US media. General McMaster has already come out and denied the Washington Post story. It is hard to comment on this without knowing specifically what was said but it seems confirming to the Russians that ISIS is building laptop bombs would be something we would want them to know about.

  4. The media, the Left, the Ruling Elite, the Globalists, and the Establishment are going after Trump nonstop with any scandal they can manufacture.

Eventuality they may succeed at Gotcha.

But if they manage to push him out of office, may all their blood run in the streets.

  5. @Chickenhead, once again I don’t know what was said, but from the breathless media reports I have seen no one has answered why Trump should not have warned the Russians about ISIS laptop bombs targeting airliners?

  6. It’s dangerous because Russia, Iran and Hezbollah are allies. Iran and Hezbollah will get the classified information, too.

  7. Because…
we want Iranian airliners to be targeted by ISIS?

  8. If you believe the Compost, you have bigger issues than we thought…

  9. All over this on Twitchy and Gateway Pundit…

  10. @Denny, so you are saying you want Iranian airliners targeted by ISIS laptop bombs?

Also the laptop bomb threat was discussed in the media well before Trump even mentioned it. It appears Trump just confirmed to the Russians the already existing media reporting. Unless Trump told the Russians that country X has operative X who has penetrated ISIS in X city who told us this information then I don’t see what the scandal is. McMaster has already denied that Trump said anything like that.

@setnaffa, I agree that the real scandal appears to be the leakers. I would imagine there was a limited number of people in the room he was having the meeting with the Russian ambassador. It seems like they should be able to narrow down who the leaker was.

  11. Putin has now weighed in on the laptop bomb scandal:

President Putin deployed his trademark sarcasm on Wednesday to make clear he thought the accusation that Trump had divulged secrets absurd.

“I spoke to him (Lavrov) today,” a smiling Putin told a news conference with Italian Prime Minister Paolo Gentiloni in the Russian Black Sea resort of Sochi.

“I’ll be forced to issue him (Lavrov) with a reprimand because he did not share these secrets with us. Not with me, nor with representatives of Russia’s intelligence services. It was very bad of him.”

Putin, who still hopes Moscow can repair battered ties with the United States despite a deepening political scandal in the United States related to Trump’s purported Russia ties, said Moscow had rated Lavrov’s meeting with Trump highly.

If the Trump administration deemed it appropriate, Putin said Russia could hand over a transcript of Trump’s meeting with Lavrov to U.S. lawmakers to reassure them that no secrets were revealed.

A Kremlin aide, Yuri Ushakov, later told reporters that Moscow had a written record of the conversation, not an audio recording.

  12. LIES!!! Of course Putin wouldn’t spill the beans on his stooge!
Thought this was worth mentioning since I haven’t seen it mentioned here (tangentially related):
    http://www.cnbc.com/2017/04/21/white-house-refuses-to-give-exxonmobil-special-waiver-to-drill-in-sanctioned-russia.html
The White House refuses to give Exxon Mobil special waiver to drill in sanctioned Russia. Hm. Our Secretary of State is the former CEO of Exxon Mobile too. Guess Trump’s not such a stooge. Keep trying, Denny!

  13. Obama’s Justice Department refused to hire military veterans for jobs
    http://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2017/may/17/obama-doj-refused-hire-veterans-jobs-investigation/

Most of us here can immediately recognize that this was a case tailoring listings for people already in mind more than simple anti-Vet policies.

    BBBUuutttt….

Some of us also know that just being a Vet, even a fully disabled one doesn’t guarantee you get the job. These candidates had to have met the position requirements and scored well to out-do the individuals the DoJ listed the positions for. They should’ve just followed the spirit of the hiring guidelines instead of what seemed to be bending over backwards to not hire those people.

I personally was pulled from consideration on at least 5 vacancies when looking to leave IMCOM-P because they were for either BLM or BIA and they were required to list them as “Indian Preference”. While I may not have liked it I understand the spirit of the law and given the government hiring program on the whole is designed to be as super-fair as possible that means it’s basically super-fairly f’ed on the whole. wink

Worst case I’ve seen of tailored vacancies is still when CESO-K (<—#$%^ Shadow NEC) was dismantled and 1st Signal Brigade listed a bunch of vacancies with the requirement that "only current 1st Signal Brigade employees working in Building #09284 will be considered" which was where all the CESO-K people losing jobs or being forced to enter PPP were. F'ing Signal … question

  14. Based on recent events, I doubt it was unintended. I think they misunderstood the reaction they would receive. But then, some Democrats have become so ville I tend to get lazy and tar them all with the same brush. To use an old, obsolete phrase.

  16. Trump was honored in Saudi Arabia. The Saudi King bowed to him and said his election was an answer to prayers. They danced the sword dance. No other American President has been so honored. Even Trumps wife and daughter, neither wearing a headscarf, were honored.

  17. It’s a pleasure to see a president make others respect American culture instead of tripping over themselves in a rush to suck multicultural díck… metaphorically speaking…

    …except maybe in Obama’s case.

Come to think if it, Obama and his talking gorilla pretty much hated American culture and did much to sabotage it.

  18. And all it took to erase Zero’s “legacy” was a “reality TV star” (who coincidently made Billions in real estate, running casinos, and literally hundreds of other successful businesses).

Can you imagine what it took for the Saudi King to bow to a Christian leader and say “you are the answer to our prayers”? And adding to that were the Egyptian President’s comments about Trump being a “unique personality that can get the impossible done”.

Whether one wanted Trump from the beginning or not (and I did not support him until he won the nomination), one ought to respect the seemingly effortless way Trump overcomes obstacles and proves the opposition media to be feckless, gormless, and mendacious. It’s becoming crystal clear he’s got the Indian sign on ’em…

  19. Not Korea specific, but China is always a part of story. And it seems as if we have a mole in the works:
    https://mic.com/articles/177699/china-caught-18-to-20-cia-spies-in-huge-breach-killing-at-least-a-dozen?

The Chinese government killed or captured at least 18 CIA sources between 2010 and 2012, the New York Times reported, destroying the agency’s ability to collect intelligence throughout the country for years.

The agency has never discovered the cause of the intelligence breach, which could have been the result of a mole in the CIA’s ranks, Chinese surveillance of covert communications methods or “sloppy American tradecraft,” the Times wrote. The Chinese government killed at least 12 of the sources, one of whom was executed by gunshot in front of colleagues outside a government building.

Pretty major breach of security if we lost 18-20 spies. And of course being marched outside and summarily executed is a hell of a message to the rest.

  20. Who was President? Who was Secretary of State? Where was Hillary’s email server?

  21. Them Chinese be smart. See how fast the make some fake news of their own. Where are the E-verify sources?

  22. “ARIANA GRANDE
    SUSPENDS WORLD TOUR
    IN WAKE OF BOMBING”

Now where do I know that name?

“In security footage obtained by TMZ, the pop singer was in a doughnut shop and appeared to lick unpurchased doughnuts on a display rack twice while the shop’s employee wasn’t looking.

When the shop employee returned with a new tray of doughnuts, Grande asked, “What the f— is that?”

“I hate Americans,” she continued. “I hate America.””

    Ah yes… another America-hater.

How is that entitlement working out for you, babydoll?

  23. Hm.
Security breach between 2010 and 2012 results in at least 18 CIA sources killed or captured within a single country. Hillary was Secretary of State from 2009 to 2013 using and unsecure server.
    Coincidence?
    Nothing to see here!
How’s that Clinton foundation doing? After Carter left the presidency his work with Habitat for Humanity skyrocketed the Clinton foundation should be better than ever now!
    America really dodged a bullet.

  24. There has been many incidents perpetrated by North Korean’s since the Korean war; USS Pueblo Incident, axe murders, sinking of Chonam navy ship, Downing Korean Air Flight 858, North Korean are some bad dudes. And the weird thing is, that, they live to do it again and again and again, Pretty much a cat with nine lives. I don’t understand how DPRK and Saudi Arabia can get away with anything but countries like Iraq, Libya and Iran get jump on if they sneeze wrong. North Korea (DPRK) must have some type of force field defense shield for protection. This is really creepy. US can’t touch them, no matter what kind of crimes they do. never think I see the day America take a back seat to a gang of thugs. The world is totally fuck now, goes to show you, “if you don’t stand for something you will stand for anything.” May god help us, osp! but god only help those who help themselves…..we’ve are totally fk last person out the room turn off the lights.
