The first time I came to Korea in the late 70’s we were taken to see a captured NKorean AN-2; a bi-plane that looked like a prop from a WWI movie. But it had relatively current (for the 70’s) comm-nav in and under the c0ckpit, and a open space fuselage for carrying paratroopers. Touching it, we could tell it’s skin was non-metalic. It was painted canvas covered so it had little to reflect radar. Adding that it could fly low and slow, it was stealth before I had ever heard of stealth and it was a serious concern as an infiltration transport.

Hi-tech and modern is not necessary to be effective.
