A statue depicting a member of the Hwarang, scions of noble families during the ancient Silla Dynasty (57 B.C. to A.D. 668), is unveiled in Seoul’s Nowon Ward on Nov. 22, 2016, in this photo released by the Nowon Ward office. Uhh… scion means “descendant of a notable family”.

Points for trying to jazz up your writing Yonhap but I’m taking them back due to the a55ed up execution. 😯
