Don’t eat dog myself; but can’t understand why the food nazis are such close-minded busybodies. It’s like they have Narcissistic Personality Disorder.

Had some horse meat recently… fantastic.

I had raw horse in Japan once… but they were such dainty little paper thin squares it was hard to get an understanding of it.

This was big chunks of horse… and intestines stuffed with meat and fat… all soaked in seasoning for 5 days and boiled.

Baby oh baby oh baby oh baby.

I like dogs a lot… so I don’t feel so good about myself when I eat them on occasion.

But horses are somewhere below pigs and just above cows… possibly even just below cats on my Hierarchy of Edible Animals.

Let the slaughter begin.

Bonus: the look of horror on the faces of middle school girls with glittery unicorn posters on the wall

“If you love something, set it free. If it comes back, eat it. If it doesn’t come back, hunt it down and eat it.”

Horse meat is very very good. I think the US is the number one world exporter (but we don’t eat it here).
I’ve never had it prepared the way you describe though. Is there a name for that dish? In Italy carne di cavallo (horse) is typically served like prosciutto crudo. Takes similar to prosiutto but is far less fatty and about five times better.

This came in a carry-on bag from Kazakhstan.

…not sure if the care and handling aligned with Western food industry best practices…

…but was likely in agreement with herdsman handling habits.

I never got the Steppe Squirts or anything.
